Day 23

We took a train ride today.

The Durango train has been in continuous operation for 140 years. It built the town.

They have really cozy t shirt and fleece lined blankets.

Miles of farms to see on the ride into the mountains.

Waiting for coffee in the snack car.

Snow capped Rocky Mountains

A frozen lake

Breathtaking views

The San Juan National Forest is gorgeous.

The Animas river is spectacular. So green!

We had a picnic by the river in Cascade canyon.

The Train Museum is really cool.

The girls got to type their name s into a real working Telegraph to see what it sounds like in Morse code.

We had dinner at a sushi restaurant because it advertised in bold letters RAMEN.

This is the Albacore Tuna

Dragon Roll

Ramen

Very happy girls to get their Ramen

Girls refusing to eat it when they learned that those things with the pink swirl in them are smooshed fish patties.

First night for them to go to bed without dinner.

They survived.

What a full day of experiences.
